About Dr Ruchira

I am a General Practitioner with over 25 years of experience as a doctor and more than 15 years as a fully qualified GP. My medical journey began in India, where I completed medical school, before moving to the UK with just one suitcase and £2,000 to my name — driven by ambition, resilience, and a deep commitment to patient care.

I went on to complete further medical qualifications in the UK and finished my GP training in 2010. I am a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) and have worked continuously within Leicestershire as an NHS GP since qualifying. I was also a partner at a busy teaching practice, a role that was both professionally rewarding and demanding.

Following the COVID pandemic, I reached a point familiar to many healthcare professionals — I was tired, overworked, and struggling to achieve a healthy work–life balance. I wanted more time with my children and a way to practise medicine that felt sustainable, fulfilling, and aligned with my values.

Around the same time, I began exploring aesthetic treatments for my own skin concerns. As a doctor, I was surprised by how difficult it was to know who to trust in an increasingly unregulated industry. That experience became a turning point. It led me to formally upskill in medical aesthetics, allowing me to combine my extensive medical knowledge with aesthetic and cosmetic expertise — and to offer patients a safe, ethical, and medically grounded alternative.

In 2022, I founded Dr RB Aesthetics, and I have been delivering aesthetic treatments ever since. I am an Associate Member of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine and remain committed to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.

My philosophy is simple: natural results, subtle enhancements, and patient safety above all else. I practise ethical, honest, and evidence-based aesthetics — never over-treating, never following trends, and always prioritising what is right for you.

With me, you will always receive honest advice, realistic expectations, and a personalised approach. When you come to see me, it is not just an appointment — it is a journey.
